  • Ed Witt

Some of Ed Witt's earliest memories were of the car business. When Ed was a child he was always around his family's car dealership. From hanging out on the showroom, digging cars out of the snow and later running the soda fountain. Ed became a people person at an early age always inquisitive and outgoing. As he grew so did his career, from being a Lot Attendant, Sales Person, Sales Manager, General Manager and eventually owning a large Ford dealership.

In 1997 the Lincoln Motor Company approached Ed about the possibility of acquiring two Lincoln dealerships in San Diego. After spending many winters in Wisconsin Ed packed up and made the move to Americas Finest City. What's not to love? Sand, surf and sunshine...

Ed's family made the trip with him and many of them work with him today in the dealership. Currently Scott Witt is the Service Director, Todd Witt is the General Sales Manager and Patrick Witt is a Finance Manager.

Ed is also dedicated to making the community a better place for all. He has committed much of his time towards helping the less fortunate in our local community. Currently Ed Witt is the Chairman of the Board at Father Joe's Villages and is proud to help this communities children by sponsoring the Father Joe's Children's Charity Gala.

  • Todd Witt
    Gen. Sales Manager

Todd Witt has been around the car business for a his entire life. His earliest childhood memories are in the small town of Crivitz WI. When I say small town, it had under 600 residents. This is the same town where his relatives owned the local IGA grocery store (now a Pigley Wigley) and Witt Auto Sales.

After moving south of Green Bay (yes, Todd is a Packers fan) to Denmark WI. Todd remembers washing the white wall tires on vehicles at the Witt Ford dealership. His odd jobs around dealerships also included cleaning the service department and body shop bays in Milwaukee.

Like many members of his family Todd was born with an entrepreneurial spirit.  He started his own business Witt Landscape and Maintenance… "Working for a greener tomorrow". Later finishing college and going onto work for Andersen Consulting.

In 1997 Todd was married to his true love Betsy. The same year they decided to follow Todd's father and take the leap back into the car business. He and Betsy packed up their lives and headed to San Diego. Todd began his career at Witt Lincoln as a Used Car Manager eventually becoming a New Car Manager.

In 2002 Todd and Betsy welcomed their daughter Megan in to the world.Megan was born prematurely and with the help of Rady Children's Hospital she has grown into a wonderful young lady. Megan loves horses and is an avid equestrian.  Todd's idea of a perfect family vacation usually involves the warm waters of Maui and a cold drink.

Todd has been the General Sales Manager for some time now focusing on the Hassle Free process and Client Satisfaction.  Todd said, "It is one thing to tell the team that we need good Customer Satisfaction scores but it is another thing to earn it. The Witt family is here in every aspect of the dealership to make sure that "My father is constantly raising the bar and pushing us to do better. That's the Witt way."

  • John Bodnar
    Sales Manager

Lincoln Brand Champion John Bodnar studied advertising design in college, but with career turns and a relative in the automotive business, he found himself at a large Ford/Lincoln dealership before arriving at Witt Lincoln in San Diego, Calif., in 2001. Since then, John has pursued his career in automotive while continuing to paint and draw. He has even taken time off to restore historical homes - a 1939 home he revived in La Jolla was declared a historical landmark. Frontline magazine recently asked John for his perspective as a Lincoln Brand Champion.

I'm fortunate because I'm in a position to create unique relationships with our Sales Consultants. I can help give them a glimpse into the life of our new clientele. I am an artist, a father, a designer, a builder, a foodie, a husband, a traveler and, of course, I am a Sales Manager. I love this crazy world and welcome my next adventure. I believe that I am the client that Lincoln is building this generation of vehicles for. Lincoln is creating vehicles that are visually beautiful, technologically advanced, rich in heritage and not overly pretentious

I feel like a child at Christmas every time I see a new concept. I can hardly wait to see the creations of David Woodhouse, Andrea Di Buduo, Solomon Song, Max Wolff, Soo Kang and the whole Lincoln design team. From concept sketch, digital creation, virtual engineering and clay modeling, rolling back all the way to the vehicles that show up in our showrooms - I have seen the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. I am impressed.

I'm also in a somewhat unique situation in that we're a standalone dealership, so everyone does a great job for the Lincoln brand and is invested in that product knowledge.

I have studied the history of the Lincoln Motor Company and fell in love with the story of a man who was willing to strike out on his own to build motors to help support the war effort. I was enamored by the artistic son of a manufacturing legend who wanted to bring "Quality, Design and Personal Service" to the luxury client.

I like to think my natural enthusiasm for all the wonderful and great things that are happening around us is a contagious energy that transfers to our team and our clients. It is an understanding of our new target market while never forgetting to take care of our existing client base. It is, most important that we remember that we have the power to positively affect our clients' lives through small gestures of humanity.

  • Luke Morgan
    Service Advisor

Luke was born in Oregon, as the self described lone "Yankee" in his family. His father was from Louisiana and his mother from Arkansas. To this day most of his extended family remain firmly planted in the south. His father raced cars when he was very young, and somehow that adrenaline and car loving gene was planted firmly in his blood. Most of his younger years were spent growing up as a farm kid in rural Oregon. Working most of those younger years around grass seed farms, either bailing and stacking hay, driving combines or working in the seed warehouses.

After his freshman year he moved to Ohio. Later becoming the top student in his Automotive vocational program and being surrounded by drag racing he went to work in an automotive machine shop/engine builder. By the time he was 17 he had built my first drag car and started racing. It was then that he made the leap to working at dealership, first as a technician and then becoming a Service Consultant. During that same time he married his high school sweetheart and having two children, first Chelsea and then Anthony.

He made the move back to Oregon in 2000 and continued in the automotive business. During that time a switch was made from racing cars to racing motorcycles, both motocross and superbike road racing. Spending 10 years back in Oregon, the long grey winters were really taking a toll. So in November of 2011, with no real plan he packed up and headed to San Diego in pursuit of sunshine. On December 9th, his birthday he started at Witt Lincoln. He has grown to love San Diego and the Witt family and intends to stay for many many years.

Luke has also been recognized as a Lincoln Leaders of Excellence awardee and has become the Lincoln Brand Champion for the service department. He continues to be excited by the movement of the brand and the many exciting new models that are in the works.

During his time in San Diego, one of his coworkers encouraged him to get out and start running. He started small with the Father Joes 5K which is a traditional Witt get together and has steadily progressed to trail running and now ultra running. He is hoping to compete in his first 100 miler in June 2018
